Two of my coworkers started
defiling themselves The Eat Your Heart Out Diet last Monday. The two comments they made regarding Day One were that (1) all that fruit is just too much sweetness – as I am doing, they used spices and salt to combat the sweetness; and (2) by the end of the day, they were not only ready for, but craving vegetables.
I can see what they mean, now. Even though my fruit was tamed by the chimichurri, that fruit isn’t going to turn into a vegetable anytime soon. I am looking forward to saying goodbye to fruit and hello to veggie stir fry and a big ass salad. I am not looking forward to the baked potato so much, but a nice hot potato with a big garden salad for dinner sounds like heaven right now.
